Welcome to Casa Caribe, a spacious and bright contemporary home in a casual Caribbean style. Located in beautiful Hatteras Village, this home has more than 4,600 square feet of living space and 1,800 square feet of covered and open decks. This elegant beach cottage features six master bedrooms and six full and two half baths, and the home has been intentionally positioned to take in both the ocean views from the south and the Zen-like atmosphere overlooking the marsh, creek and Pamlico Sound beyond.

When it comes to amenities, Casa Caribe takes a back seat to no one. Unloading your car is easy with spacious protected and well-lighted under-house parking on concrete for 4 cars with additional parking behind the house. A lockable guest closet under the house will conveniently store your gear, and some beach chairs, a beach cart, umbrella, auger, boogie boards and inflatable pool toys are available for your use during your stay. For additional convenience, a cart is provided to make your trip over the dunes a cinch. Here you?ll also find a fish cleaning station perfect for prepping your fresh-caught dinner.

The home is handicap friendly with a ground level elevator ready and waiting to handle guests, luggage and groceries with ease. Accessing every floor, its cab is larger than most home elevators and will easily accommodate guests with special needs.

Beach access is via boardwalk (to protect our precious dunes) and is an easy, short walk from the house, safely within the privacy of Summerplace subdivision. A second ramped beach access is also in Summerplace. Along the covered walkway under the house are two enclosed beach showers, each with hot/cold running water and dressing bench seat.

Outside the home, the large pool area is ready for games, cookouts and swimming, of course! The unique design of the pool includes a wide shallow area for little ones and their parents to play, while the older kids of all ages can enjoy the rest of the pool with built in seats and gradually deeper depth. A Weber gas grill, dining tables, comfortable chairs and chaises make for a great addition to or alternative to spending the day at the beach. You?ll find a pull shower and foot shower right at the pool gate entry for rinse offs.

Wireless high-speed internet and free long distance are available. A commercial icemaker will keep your refreshments cold all week long, and two sets of HE washers and dryers make doing laundry for the group painless. All bedrooms have LCD HDTVs with the DirecTV premier package. Netflix and Roku are also available.

Inside, the first level of the home is sure to be a crowd pleaser. The game room overlooks the pool area and boasts a pool table, card/game table, 60? HDTV with Blu-ray player, home theater, stereo, video games, books, puzzles, and board games. And to make it the ultimate hangout, a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, and peninsula seating await the good times. Moving to the back, you will find a master bedroom with two single beds, HD LCD TV, a full bath with custom tile shower, and a nice view over the pool toward the ocean.

After a busy day, the serenity of the second level will be welcome. Each bedroom has an island vibe with furnishings, fabrics and accessories thoughtfully chosen. There are a total of four master bedrooms on this level, each with wall mounted HD LCD TVs. There are two ocean view king bedrooms each with private bath, one including a deep Roman soaking tub. The third king bedroom, with a marsh and creek view, is the largest and has a recessed window seat. The spacious handicap-friendly full bathroom features a custom tiled shower with grab bars, ample built-in seat, rain can shower head and an additional hand-held shower. In addition, this bathroom features a roll-under L-shaped vanity and sink. The fourth bedroom on this floor has double bunks, reading lights, outlets both high and low for charging iPods, phones and gaming consoles. It, too, has an attached full private bath with a shower/tub and kid-friendly art and amenities.

A full laundry station with high efficiency front load washer and full size dryer is conveniently located on this level (dye-free perfume-free HE detergent provided), as well as an adjacent quiet sitting area for reading. A hall desk with charging station is provided should a quiet work area be needed, though there is wireless Internet throughout the house and outside. A covered deck extending the entire width of the house facing the ocean is amply furnished with comfortable chairs and tables for your relaxing enjoyment.

The top floor of Casa Caribe promises to deliver, and does. From the walls of windows to the open spacious floor plan, this level has it all: perfect for relaxing, perfect for entertaining. The great room has plenty of seating, another 60? HD LCTV with DirecTV, Roku, free Netflix, home theater, Blu Ray DVD ? all the same features as in the game room with the addition of a fabulous contemporary gas fireplace. A half bath powder room is located near the elevator area for convenience and privacy.

Adjacent to the great room is the dining area with its table seating 12. Double French doors from the dining area exit to the south-facing sun deck with great ocean views and, furnished with plenty of chairs and tables, a perfect spot to enjoy the sunrise or an afternoon cocktail gathering perhaps.

The kitchen is nothing but spectacular. Exceptionally large with a wall of windows overlooking the marsh, creek and sound, this area was conceived to accommodate multiple cooks (and helpers, too!) and can handle just about any task. Complete with a commercial 6-burner range top, overhead ventilation hood, double ovens, warming drawer, microwave, Breville smart toaster oven, two dishwashers, two huge farm sinks, large stainless French door refrigerator with two ice makers, a separate under-counter beverage/wine refrigerator, and exceptional quality cookware, tools, and small appliances, this kitchen is a joy to experience! Directly off of the kitchen is a full laundry room with another high efficiency front load washer and dryer, sink, counters, and hanging rods, making it simple to toss in some laundry while starting prep for lunch or dinner. The owners provide dye-free perfume-free HE laundry detergent for their guests.
A large screened dining porch is through the door from the kitchen, very convenient to set up for any meal or snack. It is lighted for evening gathering with built-in audio speakers for music. The porch has seating for 10 plus an additional bistro table for 2 on the open deck next to the dining porch.
