Early 2018 winter storms caused some damage to the dunes along this section of beach, and many of them have been rebuilt. As a result, beach access points across the dunes may have changed since your last visit. Please follow new signage for dune crossovers and do not climb or tread on dune areas that are not designated paths. This is critical in helping protect these fragile dunes from the wear of pedestrian traffic. We look forward to watching the warmer weather and calmer ocean waters rebuild the beautiful beaches and dunes you know and love, and we know you will, too! Thank you for your understanding.
Miss Scarlet herself couldn?t be more pleased with this southern beauty. Touting 3,500 sq. ft. of furnished decks and 5,200 sq. ft. of professionally decorated living area, the personal touches are evident throughout this fabulous cottage.
Excitement is sure to take over as you pull up the concrete drive and find the nicely landscaped yard and boardwalk over the dune. Make your way to the 10? x 30? rectangular shaped concrete pool and enjoy a dip. The large recreation room on the first floor is equipped with pool table, foosball table, 3-in-1 game table, wet bar, fridge, microwave and commercial icemaker. A 4-position weight machine and exercise bike will keep you on track with your fitness routine. Access to the steamy sauna is the place to be on those sultry Hatteras nights. A hall bath that is easily accessible from the pool area and bedroom 1 with 2 bunks complete this level.
Five large bedrooms reside on the second floor. Bedroom 2 is a master with queen bed and daybed, private handicap-friendly bath and TV. Bedrooms 3, 4, 5, and 6 are all masters each with a king bed, a private bath with whirlpool tub and TV.
At the top of the stairs on the third floor, you are greeted with a beautifully furnished great room. The living room is anchored by a large sectional that is situated just right to provide optimum views of the ocean as well as the TV over the fireplace, making this the perfect place to enjoy good company. The kitchen is immaculately equipped with a commercial Viking stove, 1 icemaker, 2 dishwashers, island wet bar, breakfast nook and granite counters. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen with 2 round tables to ensure there is plenty of room for everyone. Also on this level is an office/den area with fax, separate phone line and a queen size sofa bed that can serve as a 7th bedroom.
Lounge in the oceanfront hot tub or soak in the sun on expansive decks. The Owners definitely understood the meaning of ?southern hospitality? when they created this Southern Belle.
